I was approached by the Adkins Arboretum, www.adkinsarboretum.org , and asked to design an outdoor bench for their garden paths. This request gave me the opportunity to revisit an earlier design I had wanted to refine. The benches that I have made for the arboretum feature their logo, a tupelo leaf and are made of red western cedar. The cedar is unfinished and weathers to a soft silver/grey color over time. The benches that I have made for my clients feature a gingko leaf and are made in either cedar of mahogany.
The bench measures 72” wide by 19” deep by 17 ½” high. The bench can also be ordered in a hardwood with a finish for indoor use.In cedar, unfinished
