Occasional Tables
I try to bring the details employed in the larger pieces of furniture into my smaller tables: exposed joinery where I can use it, beautiful pieces of wood, proportions that are appropriate for the size of the piece, and most of all function. Many of the pieces combine different woods. Where drawers are concerned, some have hand carved pulls and others wrought iron. I do customize pieces for height and sometimes width and depth as long as the proportions will not be greatly affected. Prices listed are a general rule of thumb. Measurements listed are for the piece in the photo.

Dining Tables
I have never made two dining room tables exactly alike. They are as varied as the individuals that request them. While I have two basic base designs, a Sofia and a Daniel, the wood that makes up the top is sometimes straight, sometimes, curved, sometimes the natural shape that nature gave it.
Generally speaking the finishes for the tops is 5 coats of a linseed oil varnish. It requires some care, placemats and coasters but rewards handsomely in terms of feel and clarity of the wood grain. For those who wish a more "bulletproof" finish, that too is available at an additional cost. The Sofia Dining Table in the photo below has such a finish.
Cost for these tables is pretty individual but generally start at $4,500 and go up from there. A smaller, apartment size table may run in the $3,500 range.
